About Walker Royall

The recipient of a dual bachelor's degree in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Walker Royall began his career as a leasing and income property sales manager at Paragon Group in 1992. After four years with the company, he founded Briarwood Capital Corporation. Walker Royall serves as president of the real estate development and investment company, which owns retail and residential properties in D/FW, Houston, San Antonio and other cities in Texas.

Under his leadership, Briarwood Capital manages a portfolio with more than $500 million worth of assets. Its retail tenants include corporations such as CVS Pharmacy, Best Buy, McDonald's, Starbucks, and Sprouts Farmers Market. It also owns single- and multi-family properties as well as office buildings and marinas.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Royall serves on the board of Oakwood Bank and the American Red Cross North Texas chapter. He is also a member of the Dad's Partnership and co-chair of the capital campaign in support of the Episcopal School of Dallas, which has recently raised over $4 million for its endowment fund.
